COVID 19 Health and Safety Protocols

At Exeter Top Tuition, the safety of our tutees, parents/guardians and tutors is our primary concern. We are working hard to ensure that anybody who comes to Exeter Top Tuition feels safe and relaxed while receiving our top quality tutoring.

We are very proud of the steps we have taken to make face-to-face tuition a possibility in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. Face-to-face tuition provides so many benefits that are just not possible with online sessions and we are very excited to be able to help students realise their full potential.

In line with national COVID 19 guidance, we have implemented the following protocols:

Equipment & Face Masks Protocol

Tutees should bring their own pencil, sharpener, rubber and ruler in a plastic bag.

A small container of hand sanitiser can also be included, and hand sanitiser will also be available in the Tuition room. If your child would like to add items like a calculator, protractor, pair of compasses they too can be included. Please label the bag with your child’s name. We will keep this equipment in a safe place at the Tuition room thereby avoiding its movement between home, school and the Tuition room.

There is a lot of discussion concerning face covering. We would like tutees to wear face covering when they enter the tuition room and for the duration of the session. We will keep this under constant review.

Session Protocol

Arrival

We will be at the front door just prior to the session start time. Please make sure that your child is not displaying signs or symptoms that might suggest he or she is unwell. If a family member is isolating at home your child should not attend.

The tutee / tutees will be invited to enter the Tuition room whilst parents remain outside.

During Sessions

We will maintain social distancing throughout the session.

If your child displays any signs or symptoms of infection, we will contact you immediately.

Pickup

Parents should wait outside the building, maintaining social distancing.

Ongoing Safety Protocols

Hygiene

Workspaces will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly prior to and following sessions.

Please make sure that your child has been to the toilet before coming to the centre. We would like to minimise the use of the toilet room during sessions. If the toilet room has been used during a session, the toilet, sink, taps, dispenser will be cleaned thoroughly before the next session.

All books and other items used by a tutee will be ‘quarantined’ for 72 hours before being used again. Email, or other online systems, will be used instead of paper homework, to avoid the movement of paper and books between Exeter Top Tuition and tutee homes.

Contact Tracing

As is the case with pubs and restaurants, we are required to have your up-to-date address and contact details. If you think the details we hold might be out of date, please get in touch urgently to update them.

All aspects of the protocols will be under constant review. We will keep you updated as and when changes are made.
